The founding chapter of a non-commercial, non-profit seeking fraternity of the true epicures, Les Amis d'Escoffier Society of New York, Inc. limits its membership to 200. Most of its members are employed or active in the hospitality industry. Benefits of membership include the privilege of attending the society's dinners, wine tastings, and special functions at a reduced member price. The initiation fee covers the cost of the gold plated commandeur membership medal, ribbon, and personalized four color and gold foil stamped Certificate of Membership.
